Place Your Orders Here!

Both the egg and the lettuce and salad green situation is looking more bountiful heading into this week for a change!

We got some beautiful rainbow eggs from the heritage chicken flocks at Fat Cat Farm late last week, and in a summer that hasn’t seen as much eggplant as usual, some gorgeous Listada de Gandia eggplant, a small Spanish variety with purple and white stripes.

We were the beneficiaries of Homegrown in Folsom taking a week off the Mandeville Farmer’s Market, so we have more arugula, braising mix, lettuce mix and spring mix, plus slicing cucumbers and zephyr squash to start the week and we’ll restock from them on Thursday, returning to our usual pattern this week.

We also have heads of leaf lettuce from Harvest to Health aquaponic farm in Harvey, lots of microgreens from Rose Wagon Ranch and even some pea shoots coming from River Queen Greens on Wednesday. So there’s lots of possibilities for fresh salads and sandwich and wrap toppings!

Screaming Oaks had been off for a few weeks, but we have some oyster and shiitake mushrooms left from late last week’s harvest and we should be able to get another round this Thursday, as well.

We also got in black and red rice in from Two Brooks after being out for a bit! And we restocked squeeze bottles of honey from Homestead Harvest.

GraNOLA made a big delivery on Thursday, as well, including more graNOLA bars that had been out and all the flavors and sizes of their graNOLA.

Whole milk, heavy cream and half & half sold fast last week, but the usual delivery is coming on Tuesday. Southern Maids will also deliver more goat milk and cheeses on Tuesday versus Wednesday this week. And the new Berry Hill Farm yogurts and cheeses are fairly stocked up, with more coming on Wednesday, as well.

We also have a fair amount of hummus to start the week, along with tofu and other staples like wild-caught seafood, pastured and grassfed meats, kombucha, jams, jellies and pickles, rice and grits, honey and maple syrup, oils and vinegars and more.

We’re low on beef and goat meat, but finally processing more this coming Friday. Expect that to be done dry aging, picked up and restocked by the beginning of October. In the meantime, we will restock a few things that remain in back stock on Tuesday (ground beef, osso bucco shanks and possibly some other roasts) and we’ll also stock up on pork cuts we’re low or out of like bacon, chops, baby back ribs and more.

What We Have & What’s Expected This Week by Category:

  • Donations for Mutual Aid: General grocery or produce shares available for purchase. We dropped off chocolate milk, bread, microgreens, lettuce and peppers to the community fridge inside the Healing Center on Saturday. Thanks so much for your continued support of this!

  • Pastured Eggs: We’ve got a few rainbow egg dozens left to start the week and more Local Cooling Farms mixed size eggs coming, too. There’s also small eggs from our pullet flock of juvenile hens and duck eggs, too.

  • Pastured Dairy: More whole milk, heavy cream, half & half and chocolate milk are coming in from Feliciana Best Creamery on Tuesday as usual. We also have limited goat milk and cheeses from Southern Maids and they’re delivering on Tuesday instead of Wednesday this week, as well. And we’re stocked up with various flavors of Greek yogurt from Berry Hill Farm, along with cottage cheese, ricotta and whipped cream cheese. A small restock on things were low on is coming on Wednesday, too.

  • Bread & Pasta: There’s several shapes of frozen pastas in stock (fettuccine, gemelli, radiatore and spaghetti) as well as frozen honey oat loaves and pizza dough. On Tuesday, we expect bucatini, creste bucca and gnocchi sardines pasta and we’ll get more fresh brioche buns, bread and crostini on Wednesday and Friday, too. We got Bellegarde’s sliced caraway rye pan loaf last week and we’ve got more on this week’s deliveries, too.

  • Local Produce: Cold pressed turmeric juice, frozen blueberries, garlic, oyster or shiitake mushrooms, five types of microgreens (arugula, broccoli, green onion, red cabbage or sunflower), leaf lettuce heads, baby arugula, braising mix, lettuce mix or spring mix, Listed de Gandia eggplant, green okra, banana, jalapeño or sugar rush peach hot peppers, large gold or red beets, slicing cucumbers and zephyr squash.

  • Plant-Based Protein: All the tofu options to start the week — plain, black mushroom or lemongrass red chili and both flavors of fried tofu cubes.

  • Bone Broth: Currently due to a required labeling change, we only have chicken bone broth from A&A Acres or pet bone broth from Credo Farms.

  • Forest-Raised Pork: Y’all sold us out of a few pork cuts last week (bacon, chops, pork steaks, stir fry, Boston butt roasts, baby back ribs and Italian links), so we are restocking on Tuesday! In the meantime, there’s tenderloins, stew meat, picnic shoulder roasts, spare ribs and crosscut shanks, plus smoked Andouille and non smoked linked sausages (bratwurst, breakfast, Cajun, kielbasa) and ground breakfast, chorizo and Italian sausages, plus plain ground pork, too. There’s also jowl bacon, bacon ends, liver, tongue, tails, lard to render and a sale on smoked pork hocks, pork jowls, bones and trotters.

  • Grassfed Beef: We’re super low on beef, too! We should have a few boxes of ground beef left at our backup freezer that we will restock on Tuesday, along with some osso bucco shanks/soup bones and a few roasts. We also have chuck steaks, tri tip, top round roasts and short ribs, along with plenty of fat to render. We are processing two sleek and gorgeous steers on Friday, so expect that beef to be back in stock (after dry aging for a couple weeks) in early October.

  • Wild-Foraged Goat Meat: We are also processing goats on Friday and we’ll be rolling out some new goat sausages at long last in early October. In the meantime, we just have ground goat meat, shanks, riblets, rib racks and bones.

  • Pastured Poultry: There’s plain or traditional/seasoned bone broth, plus whole and half chickens, tenders, breasts, ground chicken, drumsticks, wings, feet and livers, along with dehydrated feet and skin for pet treats. We’re out of leg quarters and thighs until A&A Acres starts processing again in two more weeks.

  • Gulf Seafood: We’ve got filets of yellowedge grouper, redfish, speckled trout, yellowfin tuna, red snapper and sheepshead, along with grouper taco strips, soft-shell crabs, tenderized alligator strips, smoked tuna portions, crawfish tails and large shrimp. Aiming for a restock this week!

  • Coffee & Tea: We did our biweekly coffee restock from Flamjeaux last week, so we’re all stocked up in several roast levels and origins in both whole beans and ground coffee. Plus there’s the new SereniTEA from Sage’s Sea Moss and lots of herbal and reishi-based teas from Family Fungi.

  • Dips & Condiments: We’ve got a variety of hummus flavors and sizes to start the week, with another restock on Thursday as usual.

  • Pantry: GraNOLA and graNOLA bars are fully restocked as of Thursday! And both sizes of glazed pecans are stocked up, too. There’s also pecan butter and Crop to Pop-corn, along with pecan meal for baking and fresh-milled flour from both Barton Springs Mill and Bellegarde, plus infused vinegars, salts and sugars from Rose Wagon Ranch and Texas olive oil and balsamic vinegar and mushroom and kelp-based seasonings, dehydrated mushrooms, mushroom powder, chili oil and hot sauces.

  • Pet Treats: Pet bone broth, plus dehydrated chicken feet and skins.

  • Sweets: Wisconsin maple syrup is stocked up! And there’s plenty raw honey in glass jars or squeeze bottles, along elderberry juice, infused blueberry honey and creamed honey and molasses, too.

  • Rice, Grains & Stone Ground Corn Products: We restocked black and red rice from Two Brooks last week, but still waiting on the brown and red rice medley, along with arborio and sushi rice. • Preserves: We did another restock from Josey’s Goods on Friday, including peach preserves, lots of strawberry jam, mayhaw and muscadine jellies and more pickles! So now there’s tons of variety in the fruit jams and jellies, pepper jellies and pickle categories overall.

  • Herbal Remedies: New Sage’s Sea Moss gels (limited, restock soon), plus Golden Milk spice blend and Red Turmeric and Ginger honey bombs from L4S Farms, plus several tinctures from L4S, ALL CAPS and Family Fungi, along with Reishi Elderberry syrup and a few elderberry juice and infused honey options from Cockeyed Farms.
