What We Have and What’s Expected for the Week of September 22nd

Place Your Orders Here!

We have a bunch of restocked products in our market this week, including more ground beef at long last!

As I’ve mentioned a lot recently, we're holding off on processing more of our cattle since prices are so high to buy in more steers to replace them. So in the meantime, we are excited to offer grass-fed, grass-finished beef from Little Creek Hay & Cattle in Folsom! Initially, I stocked steaks, roasts and organ meats and last week I was able to get a bunch of ground beef, too.

Plus apple season is kicking into high gear with Jonagolds joining the list, along with apple cider and apple cider vinegar.

We have plenty of salad greens from Homegrown in Folsom, as well as microgreens from Rose Wagon Ranch. On Friday, we also got the first hardy cooking greens of the season with collards, Dino kale and bok choy. Collards sold out fast, but we have kale and bok choy and should get more of all three this week, too.

There’s also purple muscadine grapes, three other types of apples besides the Jonagolds, frozen blueberries, rosemary, lion’s mane mushrooms, red okra, hot cherry peppers, hakurei turnips, cucumbers, zephyr squash and the return of sweet potatoes!

On Tuesday, we expect Italian eggplant, shishito peppers, banana peppers and hopefully even cherry tomatoes.

We’ll also get more garlic, baby kale, mesclun mix and possibly salad radish bunches later in the week, along with more Italian and lemon basil and sage.

Last week was a coffee restock week, so there’s five different roasts and origins in whole beans and four roasts and origins in ground coffee. Unfortunately, we heard last week from Flamjeaux that the coffee future prices continue to trend up and between that and tariffs, there is another coffee price increase on the horizon. So, feel free to stock up on what we have now!

We restocked pork from our backup freezer on Friday, but we are starting to sell out of certain sausages (ground chorizo and breakfast, as well as Cajun and kielbasa links) as we get closer to processing the next round of pork in November.

There’s also plenty of wild-foraged goat meat, pasture-raised whole chickens, various cuts, organ meats, ground and sausages along with Southern Maids dairy products. More Feliciana’s Best dairy products will be delivered on Tuesday as usual.

We have plenty of eggs to start the week, but with reaching Autumn Equinox and having just 12 hours of daylight, we are already starting to see even the youngest flock decrease their egg production. Therefore, eggs have returned to regular price of $8.50 per dozen, no longer the summer peak production sale price of $7 per dozen.

Finally, we also have lots hummus and pesto, crostini, pizza dough and frozen bread and buns, frozen pasta, herbal teas, tinctures, olive oil and vinegar and herb-infused vinegar, salts and sugars, seasonings, rice and grits, stone-milled flour, granola, glazed pecans, cold brew and simple syrups and lots more.
