We’ve got great news this week with grassfed beef back in stock, more Gulf seafood (new yellowfin tuna filets), chicken breasts and thighs, restocked Josey’s Goods jams, jellies and pickles, tons of apples and salad greens, eggs, hummus and more.
Last Tuesday, I went to visit Little Creek Hay & Cattle Farm in Folsom and picked up a bunch of steaks, roasts and organ meats from their inventory of grass-finished beef.
They were out of ground beef, but I am scheduled to head back Wednesday for it and will restock some of the cuts we already sold out of last week.
Little Creek isn't too far from Homegrown in Folsom, so I got to check out Jason's operation in person, which is beautiful and impressive. On Wednesday, I will also pick up more arugula, lettuce, tatsoi, cucumbers and zephyr squash from them.
Thursday also brought us the first River Queen Greens salad green harvest of the year and we still have a few bags of those in stock. And we got a ton more microgreens on Friday and with more and more salad greens available, we’re finally keeping up with micro green demand as they aren’t the only green thing in the produce inventory anymore!
We restocked all sizes of shrimp, plus red grouper filets, sheepshead and flounder on Thursday, too, and we're very excited about the new yellowfin tuna filets from Anna Marie Seafood.
There's also three types of Alabama apples with two more joining the lineup on Tuesday, those three types of salad greens from River Queen Greens, more muscadine and scuppernong grapes, fresh basil, oregano, rosemary and sage, Italian or Japanese eggplant, habanana and hot cherry peppers, Armenian cucumbers, green okra, zephyr squash and hakurei turnips.
With Josey's Goods delivery last Tuesday, favorites like strawberry jam, bread and butter pickles and a few other preserves we had been out of are back in stock, too!
And there’s plenty of our pasture-raised eggs and pork, wild-foraged goat meat, pasture-raised whole chickens, various cuts, organ meats, ground and sausages, goat dairy products and a few half gallons of milk on sale with more coming Tuesday.
We also have lots of frozen bread and buns and pasta, hummus and pesto, coffee and herbal teas, tinctures, olive oil and vinegar and herb-infused vinegar, salts and sugars, seasonings, rice and grits, stone-milled flour, granola, glazed pecans, cold brew and simple syrups and lots more.
