What We Have and What’s Expected for the Week of March 30th

Place Your Orders Here!

It's going to be another beautiful week for local groceries, especially the luscious greens and herbs from Compostella, Homegrown in Folsom and River Queen Greens.

It’s still peak greens season — both salad greens and hardier cooking greens. I did find myself looking at our retail fridges a little bored last week, but then I had to remind myself that I'll be missing all things greens before I know it when it's nothing but summer squash and eggplant and okra in the dead of summer!

Baby tat soi greens came back last week after a cool weather hiatus. There's also arugula, lettuce, mustards and spinach in the salad realm and curly kale and collards for cooking. River Queen had beautiful rainbow chard last week and we'll pick up more on Tuesday evening, along with Dino kale, onion chives and spring onions, lots of herbs, fennel, little gem lettuce and more.

It’s also peak strawberry season, so we’re getting half flats of strawberries in addition to quarts and the quart price will be dropping, too. Deliveries will be Tuesday and Thursday, so if we sell out of the first round of half flats, more will come Thursday!

We’ve still got one more week until A&A Acres to processes their first batch of chicken of 2026, so in the meantime, we got some more ground chicken, leg quarters and boneless chicken thighs, along with bones for broth from Cassell Family Farms.

And we restocked Anna Marie Seafood last week, so there’s more shrimp in all three sizes, yellowfin tuna, red snapper and sheepshead filets, golden tilefish, soft-shell crabs and more. There’s also crawfish tails and we’ll be getting more on Tuesday since each round has been going fast!

We're fairly stocked up on our grass-finished beef, wild-foraged goat meat and pastured pork, except for a few sausages that sold out last week. We’re doing another restock from our backup freezers on Tuesday for those.

Hummus came in on Thursday as usual and we’ll get more this coming Thursday. There’s several frozen honey oat loaves, a few frozen brioche buns in both sizes and we’ll get more fresh bread and buns on Wednesday and Friday.

There’s plenty of chicken eggs to start the week, but limited on small pullet eggs and duck eggs.

Feliciana’s Best Dairy is set to be delivered on Tuesday and Southern Maids goat dairy on Wednesday as usual.

Plus we have lots of freshly roasted coffee, herbal teas and tinctures, honey, cane syrup and molasses, jams and jellies, rice and grits, stone-milled flours, oils and vinegars, infused salts and sugars, mushroom seasonings, graNOLA, glazed pecans and more.
