What We Have and What’s Expected for the Week of June 15th

Place Your Orders Here!

We're still luxuriating in having two working display coolers again and they're all filled up with local groceries for the week, with lots more coming in Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday especially.

Plus we restocked grassfed ground buffalo on Friday, along with stocking bones for incredibly rich broth for the first time.

The working fridge also allowed us to do a big Gingerbooch restock, too, and in addition to three flavors of kombucha and probiotic lemonade and limeade, they’re doing limited veggie ferments again — traditional kimchi and green sauerkraut.

We got more peaches at the end of last week, but they’re already gone! We’re expecting more, this time Georgia peaches via the Peach Pelican on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Sweet corn has been a big hit and we expect another round on Tuesday. Plus blueberries are still going strong while it hasn’t been the most prolific season for blackberries, unfortunately.

There’s also red slicer or cherry tomatoes, fresh mushrooms, a bunch of microgreens, baby kale salad mix, caraflex cabbage, green or purple broccoli heads, black beauty or graffiti eggplant, cubanelle peppers, plus green or purple bell peppers, green beans, beets, kohlrabi, turnips and radishes, two types of potatoes and zephyr summer squash.

We’re expecting more heirloom tomatoes, pickling and slicing cucumbers, a bunch of sweet peppers, plus banana and jalapeño peppers, carrots, red cabbage and more on Tuesday.

We got more hummus than usual on Thursday to try to keep up with demand, so we have plenty to start the week for a change!

We were a little short on eggs last week, so we got some from the Little Brown Egg Farm and A&A Acres to get by. Grow Dat Youth Farm’s farm share that we provide eggs to ends this week and River Queen Greens’ ended last week, so all those eggs that were going to them will be available and we’ll be back to having plenty by next week!

Feliciana’s Best dairy will come in on Tuesday as usual, but Southern Maids won’t be delivering more goat dairy until Friday this week. We got more than usual last week to hold us over.

We’ve got lots of frozen hamburger buns and a few honey oat loaves in stock from Bellegarde, with more fresh bread coming on Wednesday and Friday as usual.

And we’re still fairly stocked on meats and seafood, with beef being the exception — we’ve been out of some customer favorite cuts. We did bring another cow to the processor two weeks ago, so they will finish dry aging it this week and cut it and we should be able to pick up early next week.
