After many months of salad greens and root veggies, it’s finally the season for some cucurbits again!

We’re expecting the first yellow summer squash and zucchini of the season from Matt Ranatza, a Plaquemines grower on Tuesday by midday or so.

And it’s still peak strawberry season, so there was another price drop on one pound quart clamshells this week and we’ll have more half flats, as well.

After a hiatus, we restocked from Screaming Oaks Mushroom Farm late last week, so there’s a variety of gourmet mushrooms and we should get even more on Thursday, too.

The salad greens, herbs, microgreens, kale, collards, chard and celery and leeks are still abundant and absolutely gorgeous and we’re adding back beets and salad radishes from River Queen Greens to the lineup on Tuesday evening.

We’re also stocked up on almost all of our proteins — grass-finished beef, pastured pork, wild-foraged goat meat and Gulf seafood. We have some cuts of pastured chicken, but we’ll be restocked almost everything we’re out of on Wednesday. A&A Acres did their first chicken processing of the year on Monday and Tuesday of this week.

There’s also tofu and hummus, goat cheeses and lots of mixed size and small pullet eggs. I’ll bring a few more duck eggs on Tuesday and we’ll get fresh dairy from Feliciana Best Creamery on Tuesday and Southern Maids on Wednesday as usual.

There’s lots of frozen pasta from last week, along with two sizes of frozen brioche buns and sliced honey oat loaves. More fresh pasta will arrive on Tuesday and more fresh bread and buns on Wednesday and Friday.

Plus we restocked coffee last week (whole beans and ground coffee) and there’s a variety of stone-milled flours, rice, grits, cornmeal, farro and clay peas, pickled and fermented veggies, jams and jellies, honey and cane syrup, olive and vinegars, infused salts and sugars and more.
