What We Have and What’s Expected for the Week of September 29th

Place Your Orders Here!

It’s an absolutely abundant week in the produce realm as more fall crops come into season!

And with summer veggies still hanging on, that means lots of variety and more than 40 items in the produce category.

First, cherry tomatoes are back from Two Dog Farms and they are maybe the sweetest we’ve had all year!

Braising greens are also back -- bok choy, collards, kale, mustard greens and Swiss chard -- plus there's still plenty of salad greens and the first radishes of the season, both bunches of French breakfast radishes and purple daikon and watermelon radish roots with no greens. There's some hakurei turnip bunches, too!

There's a plethora of salad greens from Homegrown in Folsom and River Queen Greens and Compostella is back to twice-weekly deliveries this week, as well.

Screaming Oaks has blue oyster, chestnut, lion's mane, pioppino and shiitake mushrooms for us, there's four types of apples, plus apple cider and cider vinegar, two sizes of frozen blueberries, cucumbers, Italian eggplant, shishito and hot cherry peppers and zephyr squash.

We're low on Little Creek beef already, but we have plenty of pastured pork and wild-foraged goat meat and pastured chicken. And we should be restocking beef on Wednesday!

Yellowfin tuna sold out already, but there's red grouper, sheepshead, flounder, soft shell crabs, alligator strips and shrimp.

There's also a bunch of tofu and fresh hummus.

We also have lots of fresh and frozen pasta from Il Supremo, along with goat cheeses, coffee and tea, pickles and preserves, rice and grits, stone-milled flour, granola and glazed pecans, olive oil and vinegar, hot sauce, seasonings, herbal tinctures and lots more.

Feliciana's Best dairy will be delivered on Tuesday as usual and more goat milk, cheeses and yogurt is expected from Southern Maids on Wednesday.
