What We Have and What’s Expected for the Week of October 20th

We’re starting our week absolutely bursting in fresh fruits and veggies —there’s close to 50 different items in the produce category right now.
We added beautiful heirloom seminole pumpkins to the other squashes (acorn, delicata and koginut/Autumn Frost), plus baby ginger and baby turmeric root, heirloom snap beans (more of those coming in Wednesday), the first Cameo and Granny Smith apples of the season, persimmons, frozen blueberries, tons of salad and braising greens (and microgreens, too!), basil, parsley, roselle hibiscus, garlic, purple bell peppers, several vibrant hot peppers, cucumbers, radishes and kohlrabi, sweet potatoes and more.
We also restocked Little Creek grass-finished beef, our Local Cooling Farms pastured pork and A&A Acres pastured chicken last week. More of A&A’s Gouda and Apple Sausage links that have been out of stock are expected on Wednesday, too!
And kombucha is back after we had been completely out! There’s two flavors from La Rive and three flavors from Gingerbooch, as well as probiotic lemonade and limeade.
There’s also lots of goat cheeses and eggs to start the week and more Feliciana’s Best Dairy products coming on Tuesday as well as more goat milk and more cheeses coming on Wednesday.
We also have frozen Il Supremo pasta, which more fresh pasta coming Tuesday and lots of frozen brioche buns (in two sizes), frozen honey oat loaves and pizza dough from Bellegarde, with fresh baguettes, ciabatta and country loaves coming on Wednesday and Friday.
We have pesto from Nur’s Kitchen but we’re out of hummus until Thursday’s restock.
And there’s plenty of our wild-foraged goat meat, limited Gulf seafood (more coming this week!), graNOLA, limited graNOLA bars, crop-to-popcorn, heirloom grits and cornmeal, stone-milled flours, oils and vinegars, infused salts and sugars, jams and jellies, fermented veggies, a ton of restocked kombucha and probiotic drinks, dried mushrooms, seasonings, coffee and herbal teas and more.
Pick Up & Delivery Options:
Our Metairie store is open 10 am-6 pm, Tuesday-Saturday as usual. Daily order deadline is 3 pm.
Bogalusa Farm Pick Up is an option on Thursday or Saturday morning, 8 am-noon. Order deadline for next day pick up is 2 pm.
Mandeville Farm Hub on Wednesday, 1-1:30 pm at Open Spaces Studios, 1281 N Causeway Blvd. #1, Mandeville. Home deliveries in an 8 mile radius around Open Spaces available before and afterwards. Deadline to order is 9 am on Wednesday.
Covington Farm Hub also on Wednesday, 3-3:30 pm at Nur’s Kitchen, 100 N Tyler St., Covington. Home deliveries in an 8 mile radius around Nur’s Kitchen available before and afterwards. Deadline to order is 9 am on Wednesday.

Donations for Mutual Aid: This is a great time of year to make mutual aid donations — all of our produce farmers have a lot to offer, so we can always buy extra from them to bring to community fridges!
Pastured Eggs: Plenty of eggs to start the week and more where that came from — production has leveled off and we’re also expecting the new flock to start laying small eggs in the next couple of weeks.
Pastured Dairy: Several goat cheeses to start the week and then both Feliciana’s Best is epxted to deliver milk, cream, half & half and chocolate milk on Tuesday and Southern Maids will deliver more goat milk, creole cream cheese, feta, marinated feta and yogurt on Wednesday.
Bread & Pasta: Fresh bread and brioche buns from Bellegarde will come in on Wednesday and Friday as usual, along with more pizza dough and fresh pasta from Il Supremo will come in on Tuesday. We also have frozen hamburger or slider/dinner roll size brioche buns, as well as frozen sliced honey oat loaves and crispy crostini.
Local Produce: Fuyu persimmons, six types of apples, apple cider, large bags of frozen blueberries, cherry tomatoes, garlic, roselle hisbiscus, parsley and basil, five types of microgreens, baby arugula, kale, lettuce, tat soi or spring mix salad greens, bunches of collards, Dino kale and mustard greens, heirloom green (and yellow) beans, Aji amarillo or scotch bonnet hot peppers, purple bell or shishito peppers, slicing cucumbers, kohlrabi, purple daikon, red rover or watermelon radishes, Seimonole pumpkins, acorn, delicata, koginut or zephyr squashes and sweet potatoes.
Plant-Based Protein: Fresh black mushroom tofu or fried black mushroom tofu cubes.
Bone Broth: Beef, chicken, trinity and pet bone broth in stock.
Forest-Raised Pork: Rendered lard, a sale on smoked hocks, jowls, trotters and bones, plus restocked sliced bacon, cured bacon ends, stir fry strips, boneless chops, picnic shoulder roasts, baby back ribs, spare ribs, as well as bratwurst, breakfast or Italian links and ears, liver, tongue and tail and lard and skin pieces to render. Plus lard soap! Aiming to restock bone-in chops, tenderloin and Boston butt roasts later this week!
Grassfed Beef: We restocked Little Creek beef last week, so there’s plain or primal ground beef in two pound packs, gorgeous thick cut ribeye and NY Strip steaks, as well a sirloins, brisket, chuck, round or shoulder roasts, beef stew meat, short ribs, tongue and a sale on our Local Cooling Farms beef bones.
Wild-Foraged Goat Meat: Continued sale on ground goat! Plus “whole goat” bundles with a sampler of all cuts. Ala carte cuts include loin or rib chops (aka rack steaks), leg, neck or shoulder roasts, stew meat/kebab pieces, shanks, rib racks, Rocky Mountain oysters, bones and heads.
Pastured Poultry: Whole and half birds, tenders, breasts, thighs, leg quarters, drumsticks, wings, frames/bones for broth, feet, hearts and livers, as well as dehydrated livers, feet and necks for pet treats! There’s also ground chicken, chorizo or green onion sausages and gouda and apple sausage returning on Wednesday.
Gulf Seafood: We’re out of shrimp again, hope to restock this week. For now, we have soft-shell crabs, tenderized alligator strips, red grouper filets and collars, flounder and smoked almaco jack and barracuda portions, which make amazing fish dip.
Coffee & Tea: We did a restock from Flamjeaux Coffee again last week, so now almost everything we have has the new tariff pricing. There’s also plenty of Reishi and herbal teas from Family Fungi.
Dips & Condiments: Just pesto to start the week, restocking hummus on Thursday.
Pantry: Stocked up on Guidry’s pecan products including two sizes of glazed pecans, pecan meal, pecan butter and pecan oil. We also have plenty of Crop to Pop-corn and the herb and fruit-infused vinegars, salts and sugars from Rose Wagon Ranch, plus Texas olive oil and balsamic vinegars, dehydrated mushrooms, lion’s mane or oyster mushroom powder Caps & Cream soup and dip mix, mushroom and kelp-based seasonings and black garlic. And there’s chili oil from VEGGI Coop and hot sauces. Chris from GraNOLA just got back from a trip and we’re hoping to restock more granola and granola bars towards the end of the week or early next week.
Pet Treats: Dehydrated chicken necks, feet and liver available.
Sweets: Plenty of our Wisconsin maple syrup, plus local raw honey, elderberry juice, infused elderberry honey, infused blueberry honey and creamed honey.
Rice, Grains & Stone Ground Corn Products: Lots of rice, grits, cornmeal and whole grain and clay pea options from Two Brooks Rice and Marsh Hen Mill, plus stone-milled flours from Barton Springs Mill and Bellegarde.
Ferments: Back to kombucha abundance, at least for now. There’s five flavors total from La Rive and Gingerbooch, plus probiotic lemonade and limeade. And there’s a few types of kimchi from VEGGI Coop and Resurrection Gardens, as well as kraut, giardiniera and chow chow.
Preserves: Lots of favorite berry, muscadine, mayhaw and hibiscus jams, jellies and preserves available from Josey’s Goods, plus pepper jellies and lots of pickles, including restocked carrots and bread & butter pickles.
Herbal Remedies: Turmeric and ginger tinctures, plus various lovely mushroom and herb tinctures from Family Fungi along with reishi and herbal teas. There’s also Mineral Manna electrolyte oxymel and a few elderberry syrups and juices from Family Fungi and Cockeyed Farms.
