Place Your Orders Here!

Going into the last full week before Thanksgiving, we have lots of lovely local food for you and more scheduled to come in throughout the week as usual!

Most exciting, we got more frozen bake-at-home buttermilk biscuits from Shreveport Biscuit Company last week! The new Apple Pie flavor is already out, along with Classic biscuits, but we do have some Pumpkin & Spice, Red River Cheddar and Gluten Free Classic biscuits. They are going to try to do another restock the week after Thanksgiving!

And we’re continuing our goat meat sale this week and we’re very stocked up on pastured chicken, too!

There’s a two sizes of shrimp, yellowfin tuna, red grouper filets, soft-shell crabs, alligator strips, smoked fish portions and collars in seafood category and lots of pastured pork, just low on sausages and a few other cuts.

We are scheduled to get more beef from Little Creek Hay & Cattle this Friday.

We also brought more of our pigs to the butcher last week and it’s looking like I just be able to pick up of the pork next Tuesday, Nov. 24th, just in time to restock various sausages for your Thanksgiving dressing/stuffing!

And with the freeze on the Northshore and in Mississippi, we’ll see some crops come to an end now (tomatoes, basil, peppers, summer squash and possibly cucumbers, though Homegrown in Folsom still has some growing in a high tunnel).

But more and more cool season veggies are joining the list every week. Tomorrow we expect the first radicchio of the season from Compostella, along with their orange or rainbow carrot bunches, broccolini and lettuce (plus the usual arugula and baby mustard)!

More fresh herbs and greens will come in from River Queen tomorrow afternoon, along with more beets, sweet potatoes and spaghetti squash from Two Dog Farms.

We’ll also get our usual dairy delivery from Feliciana’s Best on Tuesday, fresh bread and buns from Bellegarde on Wednesday and Friday and fresh pasta from Il Supremo on Tuesday.

There’s also lots of tofu delivered on Friday and hummus and pesto from Nur’s Kitchen delivered on Thursday, with more coming this Thursday as usual.

We restocked coffee from Flamjeaux last week, so we have five roasts/origins in whole beans and four roasts/origins in ground coffee, plus cold brew, chai concentrate and simple syrups from Church Alley and lots of herbal teas from Family Fungi.

There’s also lots of preserves (jams, jellies and pickles). honey and maple syrup, frozen brioche buns, oils and vinegars, stone-milled flours, rice and grits, clay peas, herbal tinctures, seasonings and more!
