What We Have and What’s Expected for the Week of May 5th

River Queen Greens is harvesting so much beautiful produce right now and they hooked us up last week! We are set for another round tomorrow, afternoon, too.
Currently there's escarole and radicchio heads, tons of herbs, microgreens, collards, curly kale, Swiss chard, carrots and radishes. We got the first pickling cucumbers and their summer squash mix last week. Those are gone, but we’re scheduled to get more tomorrow, along with baby kale, cilantro and basil.
Plus we have gorgeous spring onions, beets and sweet potatoes from Two Dog Farms and salad blends from Compostella Farm and we’re hoping for more bok choy and spinach from Two Dog later this week, too.
And we have great deals on mushrooms, with three bulk bags — Italian oyster, lion’s mane or a chef’s special with those two plus golden oyster and pioppino. And from Screaming Oaks, we also have chestnut, maitake and shiitake mushrooms in pint clamshells.
We're a little limited on Gulf seafood, but stocked up on all of our other proteins (grassfed beef, forest-raised pork, pastured chicken and wild-foraged goat meat).
We restocked a bunch of Gingerbooch drinks and fermented veggies on Friday!
Plus there's tofu, hummus and pesto, frozen brioche buns, honey oat loaves, pizza dough and pasta, goat dairy products, bone broth, rice and grits, stone-milled flour, coffee and tea, jams and jellies, hot sauce and seasonings and lots more.
Store & Hub Schedule/Hours
We have a mostly normal hub and delivery schedule this week, but trying out the maybe permanent move of our Algiers Point Hub to Saturday afternoon versus Thursday evening!
Lakeview on Tuesday, 4-5 pm at the Bird’s Nest Cafe, 6508 Spanish Fort Blvd. Home deliveries in 70005, 70119, 70122 and 70124 beforehand. Deadline to order is noon on Tuesday.
Mandeville on Wednesday, 1-1:30 pm at Open Spaces Studios, 1281 N Causeway Blvd. #1, Mandeville. Home deliveries in an 8 mile radius around Open Spaces available before and afterwards. Deadline to order is 9 am on Wednesday.

Donations for Mutual Aid: Produce and meat shares available for purchase. Thank you so much for your continued support of this program! We dropped off some cucumbers and hummus and a few other things to the community fridge on St. Philip St. on Saturday.
Pastured Eggs: Eggs from our farm and Credo Farms to start the week and more from A&A Acres schedule to arrive on Wednesday, too.
Pastured Dairy: There’s goat milk and various cheeses from Southern Maids to start the week and more coming from Feliciana’s Best on Tuesday by midday as usual.
Bread & Pasta: Frozen brioche buns in two sizes, frozen honey oat loaves, pizza dough and crostini. We’ll get fresh pasta on Tuesday and fresh bread on Wednesday and Friday this week.
Local Produce: Frozen blueberries to hold us over until blackberry and blueberry season starts, plus dill and scallions, lots of mushrooms, microgreens, escarole, radicchio, arugula, lettuce or mustard salad blends, collard greens, curly kale and Swiss chard, carrots, chioggia or golden beets, salad radishes and sweet potatoes. Then we expect basil, cilantro and chives, baby kale, cucumbers and squash mix from River Queen on Tuesday evening and hopefully more spinach, bok choy and a few other things from Two Dog Farms on Wednesday.
Plant-Based Protein: Plain plus two flavors of tofu, as well as two flavors of fried tofu.
Forest-Raised Pork: Bacon and bacon ends, tenderloin, bone-in or boneless chops or XL sow chops on sale, Boston butt and picnic shoulder roasts, stew meat, ground hot breakfast sausage, chorizo and Italian sausages, plus smoked Andouille links and bratwurst, Cajun, mild or hot breakfast and kielbasa links. There’s also lard or skin pieces (for cracklins) and kidneys and tongues. Pork jowls, XL spare ribs, smoked hocks, bones, feet and liver are on sale, too.
Grassfed Beef: More beef bones are back and still on sale! And there one pound or two pound ground beef, as well as Caveman ground beef, hamburger or slider patties, filet, ribeye, teres major steaks or roasts, sirloin tip steaks, chuck eye, picanha and bavette steaks, skirt and flat iron steaks, plus tri tip, brisket, shoulder roasts, London broil top round, eye of round, stew meat, riblets, short ribs, osso bucco shanks, liver and trim/fat to render.
Wild-Foraged Goat Meat: Don’t sleep on the sampler boxes! We get asked about whole goats a lot, so this is a way to sample various cuts at a 10 percent discount without committing to a full whole goat quantity. There’s ground goat, loin or rib chops (also known as rack steaks), chuck (shoulder) or leg roasts, stew meat/kebab pieces, ribs, shanks, bones and paya (trotters). And we restocked heart and liver on Thursday, too.
Pastured Poultry: We’ve got whole chickens and cuts from three different farms right now and restocking even more this week! There’s whole birds, boneless breasts, thighs, leg quarters, wings, drumsticks, back and neck packs for broth, feet, skin for cracklins, livers and hearts. Should be restocking tenders and half chickens this week, too.
Gulf Seafood: We’re out of shrimp and oysters, but have most of our other seafood cuts including filets, whole flounder, soft shell crabs, smoked fish portions, collars and more. Aiming to restock this week, too!
Coffee & Tea: Whole beans and ground coffee from Flamjeaux and we have several herbal tea blends from Family Fungi. Plus cold brew, chai concentrate and simple syrups from Church Alley, too.
Dips & Condiments: Lots of hummus in all the flavors, plus pesto in stock, with another restock coming on Thursday.
Pantry: Black garlic is back in stock! Plus oyster mushroom powder and Caps & Cream soup and dip mix from ALL CAPS. Plus there’s Guidry’s pecan oil, pecan butter and pecan meal. And there’s dried mushrooms from Family Fungi, two kinds of mushroom seasoning, chili oil from VEGGI Coop, hot sauces, Texas olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
Sweets: Plenty of honey in both glass jars and squeeze bottles, plus elderberry juice, infused elderberry honey, infused blueberry honey and creamed honey. My dad is scheduled to drive down with this year’s maple syrup on Thursday!
Rice, Grains & Stone Ground Corn Products: Lots of rice, grits, cornmeal and whole grain and clay pea options from Two Brooks Rice and Marsh Hen Mill, plus more stone-milled flours from Barton Springs Mill and Bellegarde.
Ferments: Kombucha from La Rive and Gingerbooch, plus probiotic lemonade and limeade back in stock, too. And we have various kimchi and kraut options from Gingerbooch, VEGGI Coop and Resurrection Gardens.
Preserves: Lots of fruit jams and pepper jellies from Josey’s Goods and limited pickles. Hoping to restock soon.
Herbal Remedies: Various lovely mushroom and herb tinctures from Family Fungi, plus reishi and herbal teas. There’s also Fire Cider and a few options on elderberry juices and syrups from Family Fungi and Cockeyed Farms.
