Chock Full of Summer Produce with More Stone-Fruit, Tomatoes & Mushrooms, Pink-Eyed Peas, Eggs, Meats & More!
What We Have and What’s Expected for the Week of June 30th
Place Your Orders Here!
It's another week of peak summer produce (and of course all of our other local grocery staples like eggs, dairy, meats and more). I do love the times of year when we can have more than 30 different items in the produce category. Last week we hit a point with 47 produce items at one point and after deliveries tomorrow and Wednesday, we should get back to that.
First, there’s tons of slicer tomatoes — Creoles from Faust Farms and heirlooms and yellow beefsteaks from Two Dog Farms.
Later in the week, we should get more of Faust Farms new hydroponically spring mix and I think we’re going to have another great option coming soon for summer greens, too.
We also have lots of gorgeous gourmet mushrooms from Screaming Oaks and the return of the much beloved frozen pink-eyed peas from Indian Springs Cooperative. There’s also beautiful eggplant, yellow carrots, peppers, butternut and delicata squash, okra, beets, turnips, radishes, garlic and onions in the produce realm.
We’re also expecting more figs, blueberries, nectarines and maybe even plums, plus sweet corn, Japanese eggplant, cucumbers, shishito peppers and more delivered on Tuesday and Wednesday.
And we did a meat restock on Friday, so there’s more ground beef, tenderized round steaks, osso bucco shanks, short ribs and stew meat plus pork tenderloins, Italian sausage, chops, bacon, Boston butt roasts, ground pork, spare ribs and more.
We also got more tofu on Friday, plus there’s hummus, fan favorite kombucha flavors (Strawberry Lemonade and Sea Salt Watermelon), seasonings, hot sauces, pepper jellies, granola and more.
We have our Local Cooling Farms eggs for a change, and there should be some small pullet eggs from the new flock added to inventory, too! More Feliciana's Best dairy and Southern Maids goat milk, cheeses and yogurt is coming on Tuesday and Wednesday as usual.
