What We Have and What’s Expected for the Week of June 1st

Place Your Orders Here!

Last week was a banner week for produce variety and it’s gearing up to be another great week!

Tomatoes and blackberries and blueberries are coming in heavy and there’s still lots of carrots and other root veggies, cabbages, cucumbers, squash and zucchini, potatoes, peppers, green beans and more.

We have some blueberries from Cristina Farms to start the week and we’ll get even more from Credo Farms on Tuesday, along with blackberries from Becnel Farms. Creole tomatoes will be restock on Tuesday, heirloom tomatoes on Wednesday and cherry tomatoes on Thursday. And more peaches are coming on Tuesday, too.

We also restocked GraNOLA and GraNOLA bars on Saturday, so there’s all flavors and sizes.

We’re fairly well stocked on pastured pork and chicken, but we’ll restock cuts and sausages we’re out of this week (whole chickens on Wednesday, pork breakfast sausage, tenderloins and a few other things on Wednesday or Friday).

Beef cut variety is starting to get a little low, but we are bringing a cow to the processor tomorrow, so should be restocked on filet, ribeye, chuck roasts and a few other cuts we’ve been out of in a couple more weeks.

We also have a good variety of Gulf seafood and our wild-foraged goat meat. We restocked tofu on Friday in all flavors of fresh blocks as well as both flavors of the fried cubes.

More fresh bread and brioche buns are coming on Wednesday and Friday from Bellegarde and in the mean time, we have frozen brioche buns and honey oat loaves, as well as pizza dough and limited crostini.

And more dairy from Feliciana’s Best will come in on Tuesday as usual, along with goat milk and cheeses from Southern Maids on Wednesday.

There’s plenty of coffee, herbal teas, rice, grits, cornmeal, farro, stone-milled flour, pecan products, oils and vinegars, jams and jellies, ferments, herbal tinctures and more, too.

Here's the full list breakdown of all our grocery categories:

  • Donations for Mutual Aid: We were able to drop off cucumbers, tomatoes, whole milk, half & half and some bread to the community fridge on St. Phillip on Saturday. Thanks for your donations that allow us to do this!

  • Pastured Eggs: There’s plenty of mixed size eggs from the mature flocks, along with a few smaller pullet eggs from the young birds and a few dozen duck eggs, too.

  • Pastured Dairy: There’s a few goat cheese options to start the week and we’ll get more fresh whole milk, cream, chocolate milk on Tuesday and more goat milk, yogurt and cheeses on Wednesday.

  • Bread & Pasta: Fresh bread and brioche buns will be delivered on Wednesday and Friday as usual and we have some frozen brioche buns and sliced honey oat loaves and pizza dough in the meantime. Limited crostini, too, and more of those coming on Wednesday.

  • Local Produce: Cold-pressed turmeric juice, blueberries, parsley, Thai mint, garlic, turmeric root, lion’s mane, pearl oyster or shiitake mushrooms, broccoli, radish, red cabbage or sunflower microgreens, lettuce mix, banana, green or purple bell and jalapeño peppers, green beans, red beets, kohlrabi, hakurei turnips, purple daikon or pink salad radishes and red potatoes. On Tuesday, we’re expecting more peaches, blackberries, carrots, pickling cucumbers, creole tomatoes, summer squash, zucchini and chives, plus more heirloom tomatoes and slicing cucumbers coming Wednesday and a bunch more berries, cherry tomatoes, green beans and salad greens coming on Thursday.

  • Plant-Based Protein: All three fresh tofu options — plain, black mushroom and red chili lemongrass, plus fried black mushroom or red chili lemongrass cubes.

  • Bone Broth: Beef, two types of chicken and trinity bone broth, plus beef or chicken pet bone broth.

  • Forest-Raised Pork: Lots of pork options — chops, ribs, stir fry or stew meat, jowls, bones and organ meats, plus bacon, jowl bacon, various linked and ground sausages, plain ground pork, smoked hocks and more. We’re out of tenderloins and Boston butt and picnic shoulder roasts at the moment, but have almost everything else.

  • Grassfed Beef: Ground beef in two sizes, NY strip steaks, top sirloin, chuckeye steaks, brisket, tenderized round steaks, stew meat, short ribs, osso bucco shanks and fat to render into tallow. We’re out of a lot of favorite cuts, but we are processing this week, so should be restocked on filet, ribeye, flank, skirt and hanger steaks, chuck roasts and more in a few weeks.

  • Wild-Foraged Goat Meat: There’s goat chorizo sausage and plain ground goat, plus three types of goat chops, leg and shoulder roasts, ribs, shanks and bones.

  • Pastured Poultry: There’s buffalo mozzarella chicken sausage or breakfast sausage patties as well as plain ground chicken, plus half chickens, tenders, breasts, thighs, leg quarters, drumsticks, wings, backs and feet for broth, hearts, livers and skin. There’s also dehydrated feet and livers for pet treats!

  • Gulf Seafood: Restocked! So there’s yellowfin tuna, red snapper and sheepshead filets, red snapper taco trips, smoked almaco jack and tuna portions, soft-shell crabs, alligator strips and shrimp in all three sizes.

  • Coffee & Tea: We did a big coffee restock on Thursday, so there’s plenty of roast levels and origins in both whole bean and ground. Get some dark roast beans and coarsely grind for your own cold brew! We also have plenty of Family Fungi’s herbal teas.

  • Dips & Condiments: We had a run on hummus Thursday-Friday, so we don’t have any to start the week, but we will restock on Thursday as usual.

  • Pantry: We’re also stocked up GraNOLA and bars, popcorn, Guidry’s pecan butter, pecan oil and two sizes of glazed pecans, plus fresh-milled flour from both Barton Springs Mill and Bellegarde.
