What We Have and What’s Expected for the Week of February 16th
Place Your Orders Here!
Most exciting this week is that we picked up another round of pork from our butcher on last week, so we finally have all of our sausages back in stock, including smoked Andouille, plus bratwurst, breakfast, Cajun, kielbasa and Italian links and ground pork, as well as ground breakfast, chorizo and Italian. There's more tenderloin, chops, bacon, jowl bacon, ribs, roasts and more, too.
And we’re offering grassfed, grass-finished ground buffalo meat from our friends at Bayou Sarah Farms for the first time. We just tried it for burgers the other night and I couldn’t really tell the difference between it and grass-fed beef. It’s delicious! And despite being lean, the grind is fine enough that it holds together well for burgers.
We also have lots of hummus and pesto and a variety of gourmet mushrooms from Screaming Oaks. It’s looking like we’ll do more bulk mushroom bags from Family Fungi later this week, too.
The produce category is a little limited going into the week (though there are some salad greens, lots of microgreens, citrus, strawberries, carrots, kohlrabi, radishes and turnips, and we’ll get more even strawberries from Faust Farms on Wednesday and then lots more lettuce (bags and head lettuces), plus hopefully arugula, spinach, spring mix and maybe tatsoi, kale and mustard bunches and more on Thursday.
We also recently restocked honey from Cockeyed Farms and we’ll get more honey in squeeze bottles from Homestead Harvest on Wednesday, as well.
We’ve got some sale gallons and half gallons of milk available and we’ll get both of our usual dairy deliveries on Wednesday this week, including whole milk, heavy cream, half & half, chocolate milk and creole cream cheese from Feliciana’s Best as well as goat milk and various cheeses and yogurt from Southern Maids.
Our hens are seeing their mid February boost with lengthening daylight hours. We held back a week’s worth of eggs from one of the breeding flocks to fill up the incubator, but we still should be in good shape for eggs going into the week. Duck eggs, too!
There’s also fresh coffee, plus lots of our other staples including grassfed beef and wild-foraged goat meat, pastured chicken and Gulf seafood, fermented veggies, jams, jellies and pickles, herbal teas and tinctures, maple syrup, granola, rice and grits and clay peas, Texas olive oil, balsamic and infused vinegars, pecan oil and butter and glazed pecans and more!

Here's the full list breakdown of all our grocery categories:
Donations for Mutual Aid: Since we were going to be closed an extra day this week and maybe some usual food pantries would be closed for Mardi Gras, we did an heavy mutual aid drop on Saturday, including lettuces, herbs, bread, mustard greens and kale, radicchio, leeks and hummuses. Thanks for your support so we can continue to make these drop offs.
