We’re bringing back our weekly farm stand as the Metairie Marche (French for “market!”). Metairie (and even most of Jefferson Parish) doesn’t have many farmers’ markets, so we’re endeavoring to help meet consumer demand for locally grown/raised and sustainably produced food!
We’ll have Local Cooling Farms pastured and acorn-finished pork (all cuts, including chops, roasts, belly, ribs, hocks, and organ meats). We’ll also have produce from Stoney Point Farm in Franklinton, along with a few whole chickens and eggs from either Local Cooling Farms or Stoney Point Farm.
If the seafood catch is good, our fisherman friend (Lafitte Shrimp) will bring his fresh catch. We’re also looking to add other vendors with more produce, as well dairy, veggie starts for your garden, and more. Check us out on Saturdays, spread the word and stay tuned for updates!
